Welcome to the madhouse, it looks to be in a similar state to the one I started just over 2 years ago.

Welcome Ross . The forum is great for help and using the search history is handy too . I love Paignton . Every time we go my wife and kids know I'm going to stop in the classic car shop on the high street to have a look at the cars .

Welcome Ross. Nice to see another Stag restoration in Devon. You should have it ready for the drive/lunch on Sunday

Hope to meet up soon. If you need any encouragement/tips/help just shout.

                      Congratulations on your purchase Ross.

Edd's being modest - you should take a look at 'Edd's Stag project' thread or Drew's ' The White/Blue Bavarian Stag' for some inspiration and I'm sure that, if you need any advice or help then you'll find plenty on here.

Your rear badges are MK2 not MK1 and should be grey, not black ! I don't think the MK1 are being remanufactured but other may confirm. Advising now to allow time to search for good originals, should you want to

Good to see another Stag being brought back to life, all the best !

well thanks for all the messages we have been busy sanding back all the old paint get seeing what we have to deal with its not too bad not scary yet

we've had it running and driving quite easily its strange why that number 1 plug was already out like someone was starting to try it and just left it but i put a battery on it and it sparked first turn all it needed was some new plugs a a quick clean of the carbs freed the brakes off and off she went
