door handles

I have resently had my door handles back from the chromers and tried to refit them but the bosses on boor handle are half a hole out to the door skin with or without gaskets they must have come off ok but the body shop took them off nothing as been altered has anybody had same problem and is the answer to make resess in door bigger keith

May sound obvious, but have you slotted the door into the recess on the handle body? If you just try put the handle assembly into the hole in the door, it would give you the problem you are having. It could also be the chrome has filled the slot in making it impossible to fit correctly. There are also thin gaskets available for doors that have too much paint on them.
