sticky leather seats

Hi can any member tell me why my leather seats are sticky after they have been re-dyed,they have been re-dyed with a water base dye,first the seats where
clean to remove all traces of dirt and lacquer then a build up of colour applied then 3 coats of seals, but still after 4 days they are still sticky,
As any member come across this problem before.

Hi Jim
I have the same issue with my newly recovered rover seat. I think it's due to the colour water based dye. Somehow it needs a finish that stops it trying to attach to you. I would phone someone like furniture clinic to see if they have any products or suggestions as they must face this a lot.

Thanks Dave for your reply I have contacted furniture clinic and the say it could be the dye as been to thick when a applied but it would dry out over a period of time
