numberplate plinth seal

Hi Folk
I am sprucing my stag up and want info on fitting the plinth seal to front bumper.It fits ok around the concaves but when I feed the groove along the top it keeps slipping off. Also the flat side faces toward the radiator instead of sitting flat and tight on the bumper bar. Any ideas?

I had a problem on one of my Stags turned out to be a repro plinth and the seal would not fit.

Me too !

Keep meaning to glue it in place. I remember having a conversation with Peter at LD parts who said that a proper profile wasn't available.

I reckon, glued it place, it'll look ok, if not perfect.

mine was the same when I bought the car, I stripped everything down and found the plinth a bit distorted, I straightened it out a little and then assembled it all back up and when I tightened the bolts up it nipped it up nicely, no need to glue anything It gets me how people can leave it like it is when all it took was 1/2 an hour of TLC to smarten it up, I fitted a decent 2nd hand badge whilst I was in there that I bagged for £2 from the Stag/TR event the other month
