    Possible failed fuel pump

Lovely day today, so took her out for a topless drive.
All fine at first, until loss of power, but managed to splutter home, just.
I think it could be my 28 year old Moprod electronic fuel pump, it keeps on ticking when the engine is not running.
Its never done that before, when the fuel line is primed with full float chambers, it normally stops.
Without stripping it down, I assume the diaphragms are shot?
Totally unacceptable, must write a complaint letter to Moprod they should last longer than that surely
    Mike.

I had difficulty starting the Midget this year and it turned out to be a slightly perished hose from the tank letting air in rather than sucking through the petrol, hence no fuel pressure.

Is the fuel pump ticking furiously? Have you checked the fuel filter?

Mine's started doing this recently although engine still runs ok. Must investigate but any suggestions gratefully received.

It's not float valves though as no fuel escaping from carbs. Like you, I guess it's diaphragm.

        Cheers
