    Thornfalcon Show

Popped across the border into Zummerzet today to visit the Thornfalcon show. I have heard about this several times, but never been. This is just a 'turn up and show' event. No booking and no charge. Two fields full of cars from 1920s through to moderns. The Triumphs were in the second field along with MGs and VW Golfs :?.

I counted 9 Stags. Should have been 10 but John & Sue had difficulty starting theirs having refuelled this morning, so went back home and changed it for their Herald.

For fans of more exotic machinery there was a lovely selection of Aston Martins, from DB4s through to DB9s and a Vanquish. I also counted 7 Honda NSXs together. Lovely!

Nice to meet up with Harve who, unfortunately is still having alternator problems. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Didn't realise you were there - we were directly opposite the cars in your first picture. It's always a great event and amazingly it didn't rain!

            Ah, pity we didn't meet.

The first picture is, natch, of my car with the new SOC flag. The blue one beside mine is one I looked at in Taunton back in April when I was looking for a replacement. It is still for sale...............

            Better view of flag:

Was great to meet you Dave - was the first time I've met anyone from here.

I usually go to the show every year, this one was a lot quieter than usual - probably due to the rain. A couple of years ago they had an extra field full of cars. Get some really interesting stuff there as well, everything from pre-war to MR2s and NSX's even a tricycle with a Jag V12.

My Stag WILL be there next year!!!
