it's not just the cost ,I have a good 1-2 inches of unswept screen in the middle,I thought a longer and easier to get "normal wipers "would cure it ,or make it smaller????
Maybe you have the wrong blades ie too small fitted?
The arc of travel is determined, in the first instance, by the position of the cam spot welded onto the rotor. It would also be influenced by alternative sized screen wheelboxes but I don't know if there are any alternatives for those. I altered the sweep of my wipers by taking off and re spot welding the cam at a slightly greater radius point on the rotor. The drivers blade now rests on the windscreen rubber and sweeps to almost touch the windscreen rubber on the A post.
A long time ago, I got pulled driving my Series 1 86" Land Rover with the hood (tilt) removed in good weather. They insisted on checking everything on the car which was fine until they got to the individual, screen mounted wipers (2 off). Neither of them worked. Out came the report book, overkeen and bored they must have been on a sunny afternoon.
I went to Court on it and submitted my defence using collected sales blurb, which showed how the Windscreen could be folded down if the hard or soft tops were removed. Linking that to motorcycles mostly not having screens or wipers either, and being able to fold the screen down if it began to rain, the Magistrates threw me a curved ball;
"Did you have Goggles onboard in case it began to rain?"
Looking over at the Officer who brought the case and presented his evidence, I could see the pleasure in his eyes....He thought he'd got me.
"Yes Sir, I did" said I.
"Did you check on that too Officer Bloggs?"
"Erm, no Sir, I didn't....."
Case dismissed. Nice to win one now and then.
And the Goggles? They were with my Snorkel in a Plastic bag

In that case Steve your nicked. If the said item was with a snorkel I assume it was a diving mask (not called goggles) not vented to the air and mist up out the water, motorcycle goggles are vented. So driving in the rain with the screen down wearing steamed up goggles/mask. 5 years,no remission, licence ban for life. I rest my case
I seem to remember when I was looking for a new wiper motor that the Stag is almost unique. There are plenty that will fit in th eright position and that the wiring will make work but the unique bit is the amout of travel. I tried to find another model car with the same wiper motor.... with no success. So I fixed the one i had.

My 1949 LandRover only has 1 wiper motor. I wonder how I'll deal with that if I'm stopped?
Cheers,
Mike.
Mine since 1987. Finished a 20+ year rebuild in 2012. One of many Triumphs and a 1949 LandRover!

Banged to rights Guv'nor. Lucky they didn't ask me to produce them
I hope they don't read this and call me back, but it was 1981, I'd have trouble finding the evidence now, Car, Snorkel or Mind. Maybe I'd argue that I would have been safer not wearing the mask, can't steam up then....
