Location of Indicator Flasher Unit on Mk 2

Hi there, first time on and a daft question.......
My indicators have stopped working. The hazards are working so lights are all ok. I want to check the Flasher unit but can't find it. The manual is very vague. Any steps for a hint?

Hi Colin,
On my Mk2 the flasher is attached above the steering column where all the wiring plugs are.I have also fitted a reversing unit into the flasher wiring so I can hear the thing when the top is down!!Being half deaf and not being able to see the display easily saves driving with either the blinkers going and the wife reminding me

Yes, around the steering column area. It may be held in a metal clip but often just hanging loose.

Good luck with your hunt. - usually I'd say to listen where the click is coming from but, if it's not working ......

I also had trouble hearing mine(age and a lifetime of a noisy job). I was able to purchase one with a loud click.
