" old bugger but good for him"

We were in M&S To-day and I had just picked up a copy of the local rag and was slowly walking back to M, when this very tall women about 45 ish came rushing down from the tills and ran around me and tried to run around an old girl doing her shopping with her husband, she went left then right then left again back to the right and ran around the old boy, the old bugger put his foot out on purpose to trip the whirl wind women over, caught her leg she stumbled but kept on her feet and carried on hustling down the shop. I thought you old bugger but good job!

    Don't understand this.

Was she a shoplifter? If not why would he want to trip her up?

Or maybe she was rushing to get something because her husband was in hospital and she needed to catch a bus or whatever ?. You need to cut people a little slack sometimes, we don't know one another's problems or stresses, as long as she wasn't deliberately rude or pushing people out of the way I don't see a problem, except with the rude old bugger, hope I never get that way.

NO she was just for her self , or she would have said sorry to the old boy for catching his leg, as anyone would, but I was behind him and see his leg flick out, the movement was deliberate but she did not know that. I see these people all the time when pushing my wife in her wheel chair they will run to get in front of you at the till, run across the aisles, it's like they are playing chicken, and then pretend to be deaf when you say excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, to get passed, they are not deaf either. No not all people are bad but sometimes you just come across rude people. I don't try to pull the wheel chair to a stop now and strain myself.

We werent there so maybe thats why we cant see it your way.

We do a Fri morning shop about 08:30, then Mrs has to get to work by 09:00. Dont we just love it when someone at the front starts asking the checkout woman whether she had a nice holiday/weekend/how's your piles etc etc. Then there are some who save up vouchers like they are made of gold leaf!

I know, I know we should get up earlier.
