New Years Day - SE England

Christmas is getting near, and we will soon be celebrating the new year. I like to see it in with a visit to one of my favourite places, Brooklands Museum, together with a lot of like minded classic car enthusiasts.

Last year, over 1100 vehicles, and nearly 2000 people on site, and more Stags than I have seen in one place for a while.

I hope those of you who came last year will come again, and that I might see a few, new faces too. It would ne nice to try and set up an area specially reserved for Stags, and if we could get a few interested I will try to get that organised. If not, just turn up, and see how many stags you can spot.

Evening Chris my first visit to brooklands a couple of months ago with the capri lot, as you say a special place didnt realise there was so much there not into planes but spent a fair bit of time in the hangers etc, will certainly try to make new years day.

Who's actually going?
I'm booking my ferry and need to decide if I'll eat on the crossing back or if there's a chance to meet some forums members in a local pub or such. Can't find a copilot willing to leave at 04.30AM, so will be making the trip on my own.

Just got back, covered almost 500miles in the Stag today, and it did great. :-)
I'm very glad I went to Brooklands, so much to see! Lots of Stags, it seemed there was one in every parking area, plus a larger group near the merchandising (V Mad?). Didn't get to talk to any of the owners, unfortunately.
Great way to start the year!

Well done Filip, thats quite an achievement. Pity we didnt get to meet up but there were so many cars and people that day, another record broken I think. I was parked in that area along with a few other stags, including Chris's supercharged stag, and I spotted at least another dozen or so stags dotted around.

It is a shame we didn't meet up, especially now that I learn about the supercharged Stag! We should have exchanged phone numbers, better luck next time.
Mine was parked on the RH inside of the members banking. It's just visible on one of the photos.
