    Yodel!

    Anyone else having problems with this totally useless delivery service? They have had 2 of my parcels at the regional service centre since 0200 on 1st December. That's 2 weeks! Many attempts using their "chat" system have so far failed to get these delivered.

    Maybe you should put in a claim for lost parcels?

    I have been using MyHermes, and whilst not perfect they have delivered all my parcels so far. Much cheaper than RM too.

      Nightmare.
      A lot of my Christmas stuff is being delivered by courier.
      They all seem to take on extra labour to cope with the extra work and they just don't care.

        Yodel are a disaster.

        We get Nespresso coffee capsules and Yodel are useless - they don't know what house they are supposed to be delivering to and usually don't take the empty capsules back but instead send another van a couple of days later ?!?!?!?!?

        The real worry is that I have ordered two of the ceramic poppies that were on display at the Tower of London and it seems that the courier is Yodel.

          If I was to tell you about my experiences with Yodel it would be one long paragraph of " *'s ". And then there's how they treat the parcels in the back of the van.....

            I've also had several nightmares with Yodel and wouldn't use them again

            Far worse in my experience than other carriers, who at least you resolve issues with when the occur.

                We weren't in when Yodel tried to deliver two parcels today. So they left them with a neighbour which was an eminently sensible thing to do.

                  Our poppies arrived today

                  It took an email to the CEO of Yodel to get things moving, so if anyone else has problems with this delivery service here are some useful contacts:

                  Hope you don't need to contact them, but it worked for me.

                    You are obviously not alone with the problems you are having.
                    Royal Mail may have its critics but you can rest assured they will do all they can to get things delivered on time or as soon as possible at this time of year.

                      Have worked for Royal Mail for 30 years at my local office in Hampshire and can tell you our office is cleared every day (sickness prevailing),if you want your parcels to arrive stick with Royal Mail

                        I booked paid for shipping a hood today with Paisley Freight, and later the payment got returned. They said they dont insure convertible car hoods.

                            One of my Yodel issues was seeing a clearly marked fragile parcel being tossed over a 6ft garden gate on to the paved path behind, needless to say it didn't survive intact !

                              To be fair to Yodel (did I really write that?) our poppies were in perfect condition despite languishing in the regional depot for a fortnight. According to the Historic Royal Palaces website, all the Yodel staff have been briefed on the importance of treating these poppies with respect. Unfortunately you always get the odd bad apple who spoils it for everyone else.
