    FedEx

This is really a sort of follow on to the Yodel thread.

Next year I am hoping to use the beast as much as possible - the roads are quiet over here and apart from the tractors are fun to drive on. The recent overheating discussions have made me think again about making sure the Stag keeps cool, as I have never done sufficient mileage to know for sure either way.

Anyway, late Wednesday night, with a glass of red in hand, I ordered a Davies Craig pump from Australia and to my amazement it arrived this morning via FedEx. Half way round the world in just over 3 days and a weekend. Incredible

    Hi Robert,

Fedex are great, but so are Davies Craig. I live close to their shop in Melbourne but ordered online one afternoon. It was there in the AM next day!

    Great piece of kit too.

    Cheers

That really is fantastic service! Let us know how you get on with installing it all.

      Cheers,

Justin, I was very pleased with price + p&p as well, so all in all an excellent buy.

It worked out much cheaper than buying from the UK, who tend to load the p&p, and France are so far behind with the concept of internet shopping. Just out of interest I have bought a few small items from China and they came through much faster than expected.

Joakim, I have gone for the smaller ewp80, which I hope to link to a temperature sensor. A job probably for March, but at the moment the biggest issue is the water pump bung, unless I use a rubber one!!

Robert, EJ Ward have an excellent brass bung exactly for this very purpose. I ordered one last week.

          cheers

Not cheap, but do it once, do it right!

I'm going to sell my old pump which has a new 12 vane impellor and seals, to offset the cost. They fetch a pretty good price.

              Hi Robert,

I'm pondering whether to go for that ewp or then the belt driven one, but that won't be until spring at the earliest as I still have two more head studs to remove, so it's early days in that regard... I'll keep an eye out anyway to see how you get on when you get to it next year.

              Merry Christmas!

              Cheers,
              Joakim

Yes, I suppose I have to agree - but £48 seems a bit steep! The only good news was that the postage is only £4.80, rather than the £20 I expected - So a rubber bung won't do then, I've got one of those already. http://www.piscineo.com/bouchon-hive...r-piscine.html

Please keep us posted on this mod. I have also bought one of those (not for overheating reasons but **** scared of the pump drive shearing), but doubt I'll get around to fitting this for a while.
