puddle lamps

Hi Everyone ,

I have managed to source as to why the puddle lamps were not working.

1. Drivers side, Bulb gone now replaced and now working.

2. Passenger side black wire has not been connected .

3 Discovered that the passenger door panel has been screwed on with a few wood screws ??? another bodge and some what replicates a snap shot of a tsunami from the previous owner


So question now is , how easy is it to take the panel off and as i will suspect it will be missing trim clips . Has anyone got any spare i could buy .

I think Julian only just covered this in the last few days. To take panel off, remove the quarter light adjuster knob, remove screw from door handle. Then prise off the panel at bottom and sides only, taking care to disconnect the puddle lamp wires as you go. Then lift off the panel.

Dont buy any old cheap clips, use only the type provided by LD Part of the equivalent (Bresco etc). Fit all new nylon inserts unless they look perfect. You might find the door card clip mountings have broken away - so check those first.
