For anyone not on their mailing list, Rimmers are offering a discount on orders over £50 (excluding Vat & delivery) from 1st to 19th January (They pay the VAT, in the form of an equivalent discount)
The code is UK0115D

Thanks for that, just what I've been waiting for.
I'm very impressed by Rimmers. Recently, I bought a part which after fitting by Faversham Classes proved to be defective. Not only did Rimmers refund the price but also the labour charge for fitting it, no quibbles at all.

Just a thought Stuart, it might be worth asking them first about this discount in your case if the parts are going out the country as you may not have to pay VAT and not benefit from the offer

In the small print it says you get the discount (16.67%) and don't have to pay the VAT if you're overseas (not sure if you have to pay import duty if you haven't paid VAT though?

If you are ordering mail order from another EU country, you pay VAT at the rate valid in the selling country. There is no import duty as such between EU countries although other levies such as alcohol or tobacco duties may be applied.
So Stuart should AFAIK pay VAT at 20% on parts from Rimmers.
I often buy items mail order from Germany and am charged 19% VAT.
Sadly I don't need to buy anything currently. Until they come up with a new improved version of the Strommies.
Luckily down here we save the VAT but don't have to pay our own GST or any import taxes if the item is under $400 NZ 200 quid. That a guideline not always strictly imposed! The only killer is shipping for heavier. Items over a couple of kilos can be expensive.

I don't pay VAT or import duty, then I don't buy from Rimmers either especially after receiving a pair of rear light lens where the reflectors do not fit on top of the spacer bars and to be told that is the way they are "they just sit in-between the two bars and effectively just rattle about, I did get my money back less the postage.
