    Cosworth Stag?

I've been offered a Granada Scorpio with 2.9 24v Cosworth engine and auto box - not something that I was considering, but at £350 ...

... has anyone tried a heart transplant?

No, but at that money I would.

I've found a site that covers the ECU wiring in some detail, and to be honest I could break the rest of the car and get more than £350.

If i was betting, i'd say the engine is too deep to fit without some bonnet mods

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere recently about a cosworth stag.

Surely this shows the true value of the Forum In just 2 hours a nice idea has been shown to be not only feasible but already done.

                  Brilliant

I can't believe it myself. A feasible idea, and proof that two Stags have already been done. And all in two hours - Amazing!

                          Wasn't the 2.9 24v Cosworth unrealiable?

I recall one of my old directors in the 90's having one and having a lot of problems with the valve gear. Also a friend with similiar problems with his too.

You may be right, but I can find nothing on the web. They used to blow up dramatically when the cambelt went, normally at the cost of the whole engine.
