    Zenith Stromberg Needles

Hi, has anyone got experience with the Tony Hart uprated needles for the Stromberg carbs?

I have a standard rebuild kit here ready to fit but if there's any gain to be had ill go for these.

    Thanks,
    James

Doesn't he suggest they help get the best from tubular manifolds do you have them fitted.

If it helps James, I run tubular manifolds connected to a full stainless system and standard re manufactured Strommies. I'm very happy with how my car performs with this set up and others who have driven it have also commented on how good it is.

          Hi James,

I have my Strom's fitted back now with the HRS needles and tubular manifolds, they make a marked improvement on standard needles and economy doesn't suffer.
You'll probably have read on here probably that I've had a Holley fitted for quite some time but I changed back to the Strom's after re-building them myself and, while I know i've lost the top end oomph with the Holley, bottom end is an improvement and so is the overall economy - sad really as I prefer the Holley for simplicity but I'll run it like this for now.
Lets face it, to be able to use the top end available with the Holley I need to move somewhere that doesn't revolve around the bloody M25 where anything over 50 on most days either way is impossible!

          Cheers
          Mike

It's called the M 25 for a reason they just forgot to add _PH 25

Thanks for the replies, yes mike I've read your carb dilemma. I've decided to stick with the Strombergs purely from a visual point of view. Plus I've found them perfectly reliable up to now.

I think for £50 its worth a punt on the needles especially when i've spent so much time and money on the rest of the engine.
