Soft top nuts!

Hi Guys

Went out yesterday in the sun and decided to put the top down so the WIFE! and kids could enjoy the rare sight of sun. On doing this I found the nutjust above the driver head inside the plastic guard had come loose and vanished!

I managed to get the bolt back in the hole so I could fold the hood away but it made me think, how often should the tightness of these nuts & bolts be check and is the cause of a frame becoming twisted?

My frame is twisted but I need a new hood when funds allow so will have a refurbished frame when this is done.

A full nut and bolt kit is available from Paddocks, priced around £42mark. If your looking at refurbing your frame maybe this is something worth looking into.

Welcome back - with regards your need for a new hood - is your Stag normally kept indoors or outdoors?

If indoors why not consider a full tonneau instead of new hood & frame, mine works fine but of course the weather is always good over here, and on the one day it did rain since I fitted it, no water got into the inside.
