Hi Russ (Kryton),

How's it going re: applying for being a forum moderator, not heard anything since you put your self forward for the post (with lots of support from members).

Do we have to nominate you or do you just apply to the powers that be, whoever they are, is there a correct procedure?

On another forum of which I am a mod, the position was 'awarded' to me by the 'top man' without nominations.

I have asked if I should apply officially, and had no reply as yet, although all the mods know I am willing to take the position up, and I already have some minor mod rights on the technical section. I certainly seem to be the popular choice for moderator.

I wish someone would tell me the protocol, then I can take the appropriate action

Definitely not an active one, just an SOC member, but I think Carl is still awaiting the internet to arrive at his new home, and hence to amend my "status". Could be why he hasn't responded to Russ yet as well.

This can be changed by yourself by going into settings and then edit profile.

From the few times I have met Russ and the technical help he has given me in the past (with good humour as well ), equals a deffo vote from me for him to have the "Mod Job"
