I bought mine in May 2012 from Classic Car Stereo
The one I bought was a Retrosound 7” x 5” Dual Voice Coil speaker, Code: CS008 and with postage it was £57.85
Very pleased with it and I just removed the glovebox and it can be squeezed in between the speaker opening and the heater box.
I cut off two of the grill lugs so that they didn't foul the new speaker and made really sure that the electical connections were well insulated so that they couldn't short on the metal of the heaterbox.
Hope that this helps
I can try to photograph the installation if this will help
Best regards

There is no need to cut your air vents. If you off set the speaker ever so slightly towards the back it will miss the vent . On Julian it's very slightly forward . Mine fitted a treat but I had to use a vibrating cutter to enlarge the rear opening right up to the edge .Last edited by edd; 10 January 2015, 14:28.

( I might have it for sale soon...).
I've taken a few photos of the installation of my Retrosound 7” x 5” Dual Voice Coil speaker, Code: CS008.
Remove the glovebox door
Remove the plastic glovebox
Attach speaker wires to speaker
Cover speaker's electric connections with pvc tape to prevent shorting on metal of heater box (you can see this in the photos - red tape
Slide speaker carefully into position - this can be assisted by using one hand through the speaker grill aperture to 'wriggle' the speaker
The speaker is a tight fit between the upper surface of the heater and the lower surface of the dashboard and requires no other fixing (in my opinion/car)
Ensure that the four 'prongs' on the speaker grill are not going to puncture the speaker material - I cut off two of the prongs to ensure that this was not going to be a problem
Reassemble the glovebox and enjoy
I have been using this set up together with an additional two speakers in the rear cubby holes for the last couple of years with no problem (vibration etc)
Hope that this helps
