    Interior switches

The White logos has nearly all disappeared after 42 years. Does anyone know how to refurbish?

A friend of mine is an engraver and he 'engraved' mine and then tried filling them with white paint. That didn't work very well so he then did it with grouting ! which has worked perfectly and lasted for over four years now.

    Cheers

Try tippex, if you can still get it. The secret is to get it clean first by using meths and a toothbrush

          Thanks Terry,

Yeah, I'm well pleased with them. He just said that the critical thing, with the way he did it, was to actually cut away a little bit deeper than the original marking. Then he just filled up the 'groove' with the white grouting.

I think you'd need a good engraver to do it like he did it though.

          Cheers

I like the idea of engraving as some are worn and there would be no where for the tippex or whatever I use to rest

When you say engraver do you mean the tool or the person, I assume the person as I am sure that you would need a steady hand.

I meant person but I suppose anybody with a very, very steady hand and an engraving tool might be able to do it.

                Cheers

My interior light switch is quite bad so I may buy a engraving tool and practice on that one. Thanks for the advice
