I find Tiger seal very good and is over paintable too, gone are the days of using crappy "brushable" cellulose based seam sealer..

Although I would really like to weld it I can't justify melting the paintwork which is pretty good in the surrounding area , not sure how far it would spread so for now it's seam sealer with a plan to do it properly when the time come to do the paintwork.

Hi All,
I've just done a tidy up of this area, at some point my Stag has had a complete n/s rear wing fitted, the join didn't look too good with cracked & flaky paint and after a bit of poking with a thin blade bits of rusy filler came out suggesting the body shop had gone for a quick fix option. I used Tiger seal once metal was de-rusted with Bilthamber gel and primed with Hydrate 80, thinnest skim of Upol 1k filler, primer & top coat... Not perfect, but no rust here now as the underside of the joint had the same treatment...
