    Moto lita steering wheel

    Hi all
A question to those who have a moto lita steering wheel. I have just been given a new wheel with a Triumph boss for my 50th birthday. I fitted it to the stag the other day and I am a little concerned as there is quite a large gap between the boss and the shroud. I have tightened the centre nut up and pulled the boss on as far as I can. Is this how they are or do you think I have a problem or the incorrect boss. Thoughts please.

    Rob,

Some can have quite a gap. ISTR that there was someone on here a few years ago who cut a section from a steering rack or suspension gaiter (not necessarily from a Stag) and fitted it between the boss and the shroud to cover the gap. It looked good in the pictures.

      Thanks Dave.
I was just a bit concerned about the gap and the fact the the nut now sits a lot closer to the top of the steering column. Great idea with the gaiter I will look into doing this.
      Cheers Rob.

        Hi Rob,
I fitted one of these gaitors to mine.

        Worked a treat.

I would love to see some pictures once you have finished . I,m not a big fan of my current standard skinny steering wheel it just feel so harsh.

That looks like a CV joint gaiter. Still, if it works.......

Thanks for this. I have had a look at the pictures and it looks so much better with the gaiter. I have now ordered a jag mk2 gaiter for mine. Thanks to all who replied to this thread it's much appreciated.
