    Air/Fuel meter fittings

As another thread of mine tells of removing the gearbox and the exhaust system. While it is down I want to install a fitting to take an Air/Fuel sensor. My Question is to those of you who have done it is, Where is the preferred/best place to fit it?

It should tell you in the instructions of the kit. Mine said iirc at least 18" down stream from the collector and 10 degrees above the horizontal. Mine is just under the starter and cable is cable tied to the starter loom. Seems to work fine. I take it you are going to use wide band.

Is there a gauge available to match the other instruments?

Mine is mounted on the nearside link pipe, on the top vertically upwards, just behind the crossmember.
Plenty of room and protected from any road debris being just behind the crossmember, which is also near the starter motor.
          Mike.

            .

Mine was nothing like the Stag instruments having a plastic bezel and LED indicators. I took the knob and vanes off the right hand air vent and the gauge was a good fit.

Thanks Guys with advice. At this stage it is just the pipe fitting and plug as the pipes are off. It will be a wide band.

A question for the users of an AF meter:

Is it possible to adjust the carburettors with the AF meter or does it only indicated on which level the system AF is working i. e. weak, fat or Lambda = 1?

I still have the electronic regulator and the 2 probes (on the shelf) from my catalyst system showing red, yellow and green LEDs from 2 Lambda probes which were installed at the end of the down pipes. But this system is not suitable for carb adjustment.
