:Xchanged the gearstick trim today for a nice leather one
put it all back together and no o/drive stripped checked wiring ok still u/s:Xwent right thru all wiring and switch tested for dead short .......nothing tested solenoid resistance and current draw fine:? :Xafter four hrs of hell gave up had cup of rosy and a smoke thought put it together and cancel day out mile of triumphs.............. then when reasembling o/d switch onto stick noticed the contacts are bare and touched top of stick shaft inside knob.eureka solution is put knob on and nut internal flush with top of stick and tighten chrome one under neath 
if you dont the threaded portion of stick touches contacts when you assemble switch.so when you flick o/d on dead short and blown fuse:shock:. cheers steve.
