I have just bought 5 Litres of Dexron 11d transmission fluid from Euro Car Parts. Reading this forum dexron is a big no no for my BG65. So I can exchange it, does anyone know which of the products from Euro Car Parts best fills the bill. (well the transmission really)

Have a look here for what you need:

Peter, if you haven't started it then just drain it down and refill with the correct fluid. If you had run it you would have mixed it with the contents of the TC, but seeing as you haven't then like I said it should all just drain out.

Is it a suitable application here?
Cheers, Mark
Shouldn't be a problem, it's just working as a hydraulic oil. Dexron fluids are not compatible with the friction materials in BW boxes, hence why you don't use it unless the re builder specifies it.
And even then as Russ has pointed out before, make sure you have that in writing

Can you expand on that? are you saying that one is not suitable. As far as I'm aware the ford C3 and C4 autoboxes use a similar spec oil as a BW of the same period.
Both oils I listed are Type G, mineral based. and both are quoted by the manufacture as meeting the BW requirements.

Ian.
So now have to drain the rack and refill, just hope no damage has been done although there is a very bad leak somewhere and the seals may have been damaged.I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!
