    My Wife Is A....

    Stag Snob !

The sun was out, the sky was blue, there was nothing for us to do, but it's raining, raining in my heart.

Mrs Staggy refused point blank to go out with me in the Stag to find a nice country pub for a refreshing beverage.

"i am not going out in it looking like that !" she snorted.

It is currently in a state of rubbed downess ready for a new layer of paint next week, so it has dull paint no chrome and a dejected air.

I just think she is a Stag snob. So I went out in it with my son because he isnt a Stag snob !

Is this grounds for divorce ?

Is it legal to drive a car on a public road with no bumpers fitted?

      Cheers

It is legal as long as you do not have any items of bodywork sticking out that would normally be covered by the bumper, eg. the mountings, that pedestrians could be injured by.

If your car has number plate illumination from the rear bumper you would need a way of lighting the plate without the bumper being in fitted (a MKII boot lid?)

        cheers.....Andy

My wife even demands it's been washed before departure - although secretly I agree with her on that one - maximise everyone's retina damage

Oh no the roof was well and truly down my friend !

It should be painted next week so the refitting of the chrome and trim should begin. It has been a good exercise to find any grot on the Stag, having removed the chrome sill covers and delving into places you normaly wouldn't delve. I have been quite pleased thatI havn't found any grot or much in the way of surface corrosion. Including removing the rain channels on the windscreen surround.

It has been well looked after by a previous owner, sadly not the one who I brought it off who I think let it go a bit. Still there is cavity wax everywhere which has done its job.

It is a typical example of "dont judge a book by its cover" It looked a bit dull in the paintwork department, but underneath the wax shines !

            Simon.

The exhaust pipes will probably stick out too far with the bumper removed. I know a guy who got done for that!
