    Bodywork question

I have noticed some very minor bubbling on the jion between the sill and the rear wing joint.

This is a very common place for corrosion on the Stag and my car had replacement repair panels in 1990 which have latest really well and will still be serviceable if I get the paint done straight away.

My question is why does this joint cause regular problems and is there a way of making it rust proof?

I have waxoyled and the car has had 2 spray jobs in this area in the last 18 years, the last one begin in 2006.

I must stress the corrosion is very minor but as with all things on a stag that lives outside all year round it will soon turn nasty if left alone!

Any suggestions for preventive measure will be gratefully received!

        Hi Stuart and welcome back

The reason for the corrosion is that the tonneau drain tubes 714532 get blocked allowing water to flow over the rain Chanel and forms a small pool of water in the hood compartment
