    Refitting rear drum

    [ATTACH=CONFIG]32506[/ATTACH
    Having real grief getting rear drum back on. All I've done is take the drum off to clear, and check for leaks.
    I've read a few threads and I guess the problem lays with adjuster. To bring the pads inward enough to fit the drum I need to disconnect the handbrake cable which releases adjuster. Have I read this right?
    Thank for your help.

    Use a screwdriver to lift that protruding tongue you can see on the adjuster. Thus will allow the shoes to move inwards. Refit the drum. Disconnect the brake cable, then push, and tie, the brake lever in the fully off position. Give the footbrake a good shove and you should hear the adjuster taking up the slack. Then reattach the brake cable, adjusting if necessary.
