    Stromberg damper

Does anyone know what is the correct free movement on the brass components of the damper?

And, does anyone know where you can get new parts (the ones shown to the right in the attached image)?

I have never heard of anyone changing them, I wouldn't have thought that wear on those would have made any significant difference to performance.

I have a problem with a light misfire when accelerating gently from running on light throttle. I have tried everything else I can think of. There is a lot of lift on the air-valves before the damper becomes effective (couple of mm at least).
I have had a similar problem before on an old mini with the SU carburettor, and the new components were much tighter than the old worn ones. It did solve the problem there.

So, I will see whether there is any significant dimensional difference with the new dampers, and whether they help.

New parts arrived from Burlen. They feel to give more resistance to movement, and on a run today, no sign of the light misfire.
