It's going okay, slow but okay. There's more rust than expected when I took out the carpets! :0(
Currently in the process of brushing down the surface rust on the inside with a wire brush drill. Taking heat gun and scraper to the sound deadening pads inside that have water and rust underneath. Once it's all cleaned up I need to get any holes welded up (there are a few especially under the back seat) probably need a new back seat panel in the back by the looks of things.
I will get some photos up when I get chance. Been told it's not that bad by a body work specialist... But it definitely takes more time to prep that I expected!
Also need a new petrol tank as that's rusted from all the water in the boot (now drained of course) and has gone porous - Got a restored one for £100 just got to pick it up. I Kept having to fill it up to move it in and out of the workshop. It's being kept inside but the mechanics need the space sometimes, so when it's sunny it's taken outside.
Need to get some new disks and brake kits for the front - although the back shoes etc are fine after cleaning up. Also need a auto box cooler and that's well gone.
Still not even got to the exterior body work - no doubt will find more problem spots as I go along... front passenger wheel arch looks a little bubbled but will find out when I get to it!
