New front seat foams and vinyl covers for a Mk2 Stag

I have also used the Aldridge foams and covers. Seats are very comfortable, drove 900 miles to Annecy non stop apart from channel tunnel last year, and wasn't to knackered on arrival. Do agree the side bolsters on the bases look like they could do with a touch more stuffing though.

Would heartily recommend only stripping one seat at a time so you can use the unmolested one for reference when rebuilding.

Pricewise Chris, IIRC they're £50 per seat. That's less than Aldridges, but it doesn't include as many items, however I don't think you usually need all the extra items.

At £50 thats about £20 less than Aldridge. I assume you get some side pieces as well, but what about the bit that goes behind the headrest, that always rots and needs replacing?

I used evostik brush on, spray on not so good.

Thixofix, first choice, Evostick, second IMHO.

Be patient and allow both surfaces to become almost dry before fixing.

My local trimmer took 4 months to get round to fitting my Aldridge foams and covers. I re-fitted the front seats today and suddenly I am sitting much higher. I don't think there was much left of the old foams and I was probably almost sitting on the floor. I was forever hoovering up seat dandruff. They look good in half leather.

Don,

The seat base foams don't usually suffer too much - what does happen though is that the diaphragm often collapses which causes the base to drop considerably.

Stag seat dandruff usually comes from the side bolsters breaking up.

I contacted them today via their eBay site, they say 3-4 weeks leadtime on seat kits.. is that what they have said to you? they seem the cheapest and obviously quality will be up to scratch being Aldridge so I may just bite the bullet and order a pair.

It was about half that time when I ordered mine. I believe they make the covers to order.

Yes, they told me 3 weeks from point of ordering and yes they do make the covers to order. They say they are exceptionally busy at the moment due to the time of year and everybody ordering stuff for the season.
