    Slow leccy windows

One of the last to be sorted inherited leccy problems on my stag is slow windows so I'm going to see if I can fix them for Spa, I have heard that the wires can almost break in the door shut where they are constantly flexed so will look at that. Both are the same so maybe the incoming wires up to the switches have realy high resistance. Will post what I find.

A squirt of silicone in the channels will help

Did new felts a couple of years ago. If I connect battery direct to window motors they fly up and down so it's a high resistance somewhere in the wiring I think.

It does sound like electrical problem. I would check connectors in the wiring loom and give them a good clean out. Also thermal fuse and relay: check volt drops there.

My new battery cured the painfully slow drivers window.

Are they slow all the way up Steve ?

I ask because I've seen a couple that start ok and then almost stall about half way up. On investigation, I found that the four motor securing bolts were different lengths and, if put in wrongly, one can just foul the window mechanidm enough to slow it down, but only from about half way up.

                        Cheers

Before you delve to deep Steve it may be worth by passsing the thermal device and see how they are. IIRC both windows share it, so it's is common to both of them and you say there both slow.

I cured mine last year just by removing and refitting the thermal fuse, and cleaning the contacts.
