Sorry to bug you all again.
I adapted well to my first Stag which I owned between 1987-1992.
My memory isn't all that good these days, and I've forgotten the choke protocol after acquiring my recent purchase.
I pull the choke right out to start it, and to be fair it seems as though I can push it back in completely within 3 minutes of driving off.
At the moment I run it for a minute or so on full choke, then I depress it halfway to drive off and within 2 minutes (i.e. once I've built up speed on the highway) I push it right back in and at the moment this seems just fine (bear in mind the ambient air temperature is always at least 5 degrees - I'd never take her out in freezing temperatures).
What is the accepted etiquette for this? I don't like the fumes and the high revs with the choke employed. Should I be pushing it in earlier?
Manual chokes are very much a thing of the past so I've lost my instinct on this.
Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks.
