B-post top caps

Quick question, are there two types of B-post top caps,ive removed the two screws the cap lifts but wont come out

hi Dave, yes there are two types mate sounds like you have the full cover, undo the T-bar bolt and it will come out.

thanks,may have to bite the bullet then, didn't want to undo the T-bar as i have the sill off,also the carpet sill trim is different from my brothers anyway

on this car i seam to have a mix of mk1 and mk2 parts,mostly mk1

That's good to know. I was trying to lift one of mine to get a new door seal under it and although I loosened the self-tappers, it wouldn't lift. Now I know why!!

+ another one. As the nylon electrical contact mount was brittle & fell to bits I took it all off and covered the hole with black fabric to make a nicer finish. Doubt the HRW would work anyway. Just need to check out the hardtop & see what pops into the hole I've covered. (but no rush for that as SUMMERS ON THE WAY yeh hey !).
