    Power Steering HP Hose

Looks like I need a new one

Has anyone bought, and fitted, a new one recently? I did read that some need fettling to get them to fit, is that still the case? Or am I better off taking mine to Pirtek and getting one made that does fit?

I did mine a few years ago and the stiff bits needed a lot of bending.

If I did it again I would go to Pirtek, to replace just the bendy bits, you know your stiff bits will fit.

Dave, I just fitted mine from JP. Minor fettling to follow the inner wing and sit away from the alternator and exhaust manifold.

I bought an HP one from paddocks some time back because the flexible hose became porous it didn't fit the metal tubing was thin, the flare on the pump end would not seal and I was worried about kinking it, so it got sent back. I have just had the hose section replaced by a local hydraulics firm. No leaks job done Graham

Got a good S/H one from a local member . I'll try that one when I get chance, or when the leak gets worse.
