help with door interior rods pls if poss

the main rod bar that goes along the door from the interior handle to catch......

if i slide it side to side it operates the interior locking / unlocking

but i cant see how the door open handle connects t the door catch? cant see anything on the bar for it?

Have a look at 76.58.01 here which might help. If you don't get any more help I'll take a picture of my handle later (it's in bits) also a MK1

unfortunatly does not help though. my rod is attached as i say it operates the lock / unlock leaver just nothing attatched to the door open leaver

628012 in your first diagram links the 2 IIRC?

is there a rod that runs along with the bar then? couldnt feel or see it when looked quickly earlier

the door bar should have a hole, the handle a wire rod put the rod through the hole and push the crimped washer style fixer over the end of the rod.

my bar is attached at the interior handle lock / unlock side but nothing attatched to door open handle part of it, so looks like ive prob got the rod missing then and whatever connects it each end,

Have you looked inside the door at the bottom? in case one of your small linkages has dropped off, if you cant see or feel down there try an extendable magnet.

If you look at your picture there's an L shaped bar on the lock assembly,that fits in the door handle,but i think you have another short bar as well, but its not shown on the picture

I'n not 100% clear what you are asking about...(long night) but I've made a picture of how the door handle opens the door from outside. Inside the rod connects to the inner door handle.
