Hi a recent fault has appeared on my MKII, the puddle lights do not switch off unless I disconnect the battery, I've check the switches, any suggestions?

Squirt some WD40 into the interior lamp switch on the console and operate it very vigorously for a while - that cures most interior lampp faults...

Also check/lubricate the switch that is pushed in when the door is closed - that is what caused mine to fail en-route to Tenerife.
