windscreen seal replacement

Hi,
I am new to this...tried to send a message and couldn't figure out how to send it to all?
Anyway,
I will try this...
I put my stag in to a garage in glasgow to replace the windscreen seal.
They have fitted screens for stags and other classic cars without any problems using the same supplied seal.
I supplied the seal from robsport and used the same screen.
I have owned the car for 20 years and no work has been done the the frame.
When the screen in the seal was presented to the appature in the frame there is a gap around it but worse at sides (I can get my finger in).
I have ordered another seal from chic doig to see if it fits better (fingers crossed).
I would appreciate any advice/help from anyone who has had the same problem.
I did have a replacement screen a long time ago and maybe it didn't fit well then and was just filled with sealer, I wasn't aware of the gap until now.

baines do a good rubber screen seal i recently fitted one and it was a doddle

dave.a few years ago some windscreens were made not the right size you could get your finger in the corner.you might have one off them .stuart from soc told me .you will have to buy a new one.or fill the corners with silicon .Derek hicks

Gordon took over another screen and it matched perfect, so think I can rule that out.
I have a seal supplied from robsport and FGA have used this before on other stags with no problems.
I have ordered one from Chic doigs to see if that fits better.
Problem is that there is no outer pressure to force the seat tight on the front against the glass.
I have not heard of baines will give them a call.
