Clicking Noise

Help,
Have just replaced pads,disc, shoes & hubs and put new wheels (Minilite Minatour Knock-ons) & tyres on. Think I have tightened everything as per the manual. Took her out on a test drive yesterday and everything went ok until all had warmed up and she developed a clicking noise which gets louder the longer you drive and seems to be comming from the nearside-you can hear it as you pass walls & stationary vehicles. Checked underneath and can't find any chafing. Is it the front wheel bearing too tight (or loose) or something else? Advice would be much appreciated.

I have a few times with cars and in most cases turned out to be a stone struck in tyre thread with clicked when it hit the ground going round

Could it be a nail or similar?

+1 Had this with wires fitted thought it was a bent spoke, but a stone had caught in the new deep tyre tread.

Dohhh!! Spot the brain cell!! Should have checked the obvious first-have just done so but unfortunately nothing stuck in the tyres. Any other ideas would be appreciated

had the same today ,sounded like the back but was a screw + washer in the front tyre,brand new tyre as well I was hoping i had caught a plastic bag

I had a similar ticking which gradually reduced to almost nothing. When I recently replaced the front brakes recently I found that the stick on wheel balance weights were catching on the caliper. Slight repositioning of the weights totally stopped the noise.

Thanks Nigel, Good point as have had new wheels although they are 15 inch as opposed to 14 inch. Will get underneath at the earliest opportunity.
