I bought one last year but paid local garage to fit my new wheel cylinders.
If you need one please pm me and it's yours for the cost of postage.
Steve
That is such a generous offer, I have an idea If someone offers a tool ( stop it now) for free it could be used by all members for the price of postage. So we have a post on here that the tool is required by a member and the holder posts it on and the recipient who pays the postage. he then holds on to it until the next member requires it and then it gets posted on again and so on. Steve (Muffin man) and myself tried to kick start a tool loan scheme on here a few years back and we were both prepared to loan out some of own stuff. Can't find the old post. We both volunteered to be the holder/point of contact for the different parts of the country we live in but it was never taken up by anyone. It is a good idea but if it was to work I think they would need to be returned after use so you could keep track of them.

That was really good of you guys and it's a pity it didn't take off before.
I wonder whether having a tools section on here would be an idea? (As well as maybe attracting some non forum users on here ?)
Perhaps having a central place like this to find tools available could make it work.
They would have to be returned as Ian says and not just forwarded on.
We had a retirement book at work with contact numbers, address etc., which was forwarded on to the last one that retired, took us ages to find out who the last one was to have it, you'd think it would be easy...............

I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!
I mentioned the same tool in a thread a couple of years ago. It was borrowed (and returned) by Stocky, but no one else since. The offer still stands if anyone else wants to use it, but generally I would support the idea of a sort of "Tool Library" for more unusual tools.
