    Trickle Charger Socket

    Hi

Has anyone installed a small neat waterproof flush socket for a trickle charger on the rear of a Stag? I need one that if I drive off and forget to disconnect it then it shall come apart. So therefore I just want a push fit one, preferably with a flap to maintain a good IP rating when not in use.

I have a trickle charger and can do the wiring so this is not the issue.

It is just the plug and socket that I am searching for....

    Thanks

London's fire engines (and probably others') have an 'auto-eject' power socket that pings out the plug as the engine is started. That said, they're not very pretty and once in a blue moon failed to eject, so probably not of much interest to you!
I used to thread the power lead through the door handle as a reminder.

    Cheers, Mark.

        Thanks Mark

I have tried everything to remind me but when I want to go out in the Stag and the sun is shinning (31 C today) then the mist comes down and the right pedal gets hit!!!

I have looked on eBay but I am looking for a recommendation from a Stag Owner who has fitted and used a connector and plug.

          Thanks for your input.

C-Tek battery conditioner connector with rings that go to the battery terminals with nice little push on waterproof plug with attached rubber push on cap for when you're not using it. You'll see them on Amazon with a variety of sizes for the battery bolt clamps dia.

I just plug my Maplin solar charger(£9.95)straight into my cigar lighter socket, it hangs from the ceiling and all I do is unplug it before the engine is started.

                      Hi Ken

Do you find that the solar charger is sufficient during the winter? Do you use the car during the winter?

It's ok if you leave the light on

I use the cigar lighter as well, can't miss the cable draped across the seat but for an external what about a headphone plug and socket and coiled cable.

I use an Oxford solar charger on my bike, (rarely used now) but it starts first attempt, have to say for £30 it's a brilliant bit of kit.
