Heater unit foam seal to bulkhead

I have it sticking out through the tunnel, also it has two A/C drain pipes going into the tunnel. My main worry is that when l get round to fitting the dash the cold air vent wont line up with the dash vent or seal correctly.

I couldn't get my A/c unit, which has the same top as the heater, to fit close up against the body hole and still have the mounting holes line up. Left about a 1/2 gap which l filled with a sealer. Hoping that when l fit the heater controls and centre console will fit!

Had the same problem with mine when I fitted it. I was just about to give up at the third attempt to remount the heater when, all of a sudden, everything just fell into place. It seemed that the biggest difference was made by changing the angle at which you offer up the heater. Once it was actually in place, no amount of pushing or levering would improve the situation. It was only by removing and re-introducing that I could get the final success.
