    Any Stags in Norway?

Off on a cruise round the Norwegian Fjords in July, which includes several excursions including a ride on what has been voted the most scenic railway journey in the World - the FLAM railway.

Stops en-route include Stavanger, Bergen, Flam, and Olden.
Might I see any Stags at any of these places I wonder, don't know if we have any Norwegian members or not?

We are on Fred Olsen's "Balmoral" ship as we have already been on 2 Fred Olsen cruises from Tenerife on a sister ship the "Braemar", and have another one booked in October on the Braemar as well. The Balmoral though is sailing from Southampton so we have to fly to the U.K. first.

Very impressed with the Braemar as we prefer "small" Cruise Liners rather than the great big ones as the service is more personal and better. Also like "Princess" cruises as have sailed on the "Sea Princess" around the Caribbean, and on the "Ocean Princess" around the Polynesian Islands.

      Regards

      Terry

We saw this one when we docked in one of the fjords there on a P&O cruise in 2008. My mate Tim was very taken with him, as you can see

Have you tried Azamara Terry, I can highly recommend them as they are lovely small boutique ships. We had a lovely Caribbean cruise with them and got to sample the local 'Stag' beer. Now done 10 cruises with them with 5 more booked over the next year. Also done Princess and P&O but don't think we'll go back to them - too big!

            Thanks Terry.

We did a Celebrity cruise to Alaska from Vancouver last year, and fancy the Norwegian Fjords cruise sometime.

            Cheers...Al

Thanks for the info, but we use Fred Olsen because they have a base in Santa Cruz, Tenerife's Capitol and it is so easy for us as it is only a 45 minute ride away from our home, so no long haul (or other flights) to get to the ship. We have sailed from Tenerife to West Africa, the Caribbean, and doing the Canary Islands cruise in October.

If you would like to see details of the Braemar ship and where we have been on it, click on the videos below that I uploaded to You Tube.
The 1st one (West Africa) has music added so turn up the sound, but the 2nd (Caribbean) doesn't have any music added.

                Terry,

Try PM-ing Ian928 and Rhino (aka Ian) - both have location set as Norway in their profile.

I did a search with Norway in the search field and found the thread you were referring to.
Apparently we have members Ian928 from Kristiansund, Coppo from Oslo, and Rhino from near Stavanger.
Will try PMing Rhino as Stavanger is one of the cruise stops.
                    Thanks for the info.

Ian from Kristiansund here, too bad you are not seeing the Atlantic Ocean Road (as many do), that is really close to me!

I know there are other Stag owners i Norway, you could join the Facebook Forum for Norsk Triumph Klubb and ask there? (not sure if the link will work for others, if not try a search). https://www.facebook.com/groups/98904843427/

Edit: Link to Atlantic Ocean Road, it is quite popular: http://www.visitnorway.com/uk/where-...atlantic-road/

Remember there are a lot of other views around here, maybe it is because I live here, but I don't think it is THAT spectacular. I have driven there in storm (like the video below), that is something I recommend! I Guess if you come from Central Europe and are not used to the sea it is very special. And NO it is not Dangerous to drive there, maybe except in a big storm.
