I emailed Mike and below is his response.
hi terry, stag bolster kit....i only mentioned that mk.1. customers have fitted them to mk.1. seats because they have ( the seats in advert photos is mk.2 and they have the kit fitted )...the only thing i can suggest is look at my " positive feedback " comments to see what they say?.....lastly, for £29 per seat it is an economical way of restoring the seats....best regards mike
This obviously does not answer my question therefore has anyone fitted these to MK1 seats and if so what was the finished product like?
Terry

For many years I have been clearing up breadcrumbs from under the passenger seat; so eventually getting round to investigating found that the original foams were reduced to dust; and the headrest foam was not much better.
I ordered a set of backrest foams from eBay (Mike Jasper) which have arrived today, the cover is still good with all internal straps still in place so I will re-use this. Also have a new headrest foam from EJ Wards.
Any tips on installing the foams would be much appreciated.
thanks
Dave
