I have only driven our Stag at a maximum indicated 75mph. However the thing that I like about the Stag is the accelleration and torque delivery that I find quite amazing. Whilst the 0-60 time is not sluggish and in todays terms is even comparable to some MX5 variants it is the intermediate responses that give you a very satisfying kick up the back.
I did drive at over an indicated 140 mph frequently on German Autobahns in a Cavalier GSi 2000 (150BHP) the early 90's.
