Graham - whilst away my Stag is having it's drivers seat repaired, I'll ask the guy doing it if he could fit a new hood also,
otherwise who would you recommend as I am leaning towards ordering a new tan coloured hood to match my tan interior and have someone here fit it to the frame for me who will do a good job.
A guy in San Isidro did work for me on several occasions some of which included repairing/recovering seats on my VW minibus. True to say I have never had a hood done by him.

Sorry Andrew, don't want another black one, if I went for one of the Aldridge ones it would be a coloured one - you know I like to be different! Also when you live in a Country where the Sun shines most days, you want to avoid the colour black.

It is not to difficult to fit the hood the tricky part is getting the frame to work correctly.
Dont be tempted to take the frame to pieces unless you have one to follow on reassembly they are complicated and illogical
The hood fitting part just take your time start with the rear rail and work forward but dont rivet everything up until you are happy
Brian Turner went to New Zealand to fit hoods talk to him.
