Crikey there are some bad ones about!

Ok so I've only viewed five cars....but surely 15k will buy me a half decent car. Do I need to raise the budget a touch for a good condition entry Stag or accept a car that is obviously a rust time bomb and will need restoring in 12 months. Not after a concourse car by far but just an honest solid weekend classic.
Surely I don't need to start looking at other classics Lol.....Helppppp!!!!

You mean£15k cars are no good? I would have thought that would get a near concourse? Keep looking, you really want one that has already been restored to a good standard. ( mine isn't for sale by the way)

I know what you mean. There are a lot of opportunists out there trying to sell a 7k car for 10k+. I tried to find a good car for a friend, and I found it frustrating.

                  Keep persevering.

I started looking last January and found one in very good general condition for £8.5k. The bodywork is solid with only a few small spots of rust and thus far, the car has been driven 650 miles without incident (apart from a battery draining issue in the first couple of weeks).

£15k should get you something approaching concourse. The ones that go for £20k+ are concourse and usually have low mileage, few previous owners and a pretty full history.

£15k should buy you a top condition Stag approaching concourse condition! word on the street is that prices are on the up so there's a lot of cars hovering around the 10k mark but be warned they looks good in the pics but still need a lot of work doing on them!

The stag shop are selling cars at 25 k restored. I would always prefer a restored with pictures car to a low mileage car. Mainly because its a stag. Most other cars apply a different rule.
