    Who owns RRW 97 H ?

Just as I was leaving a classic car rally today, between Glastonbury and Street in Somerset, I noticed, out of the corner of my eye, a white Stag going in the opposite direction.

I'm as sure as I can be that it was the original Stag in the first brochures - RRW 97 H - white with a red interior. I waved but it had already passed. So, does anybody know who owns it now and any idea why it would be in Somerset - or was I completely mistaken

    Cheers

    Julian

        Great, thanks Guys.

Maybe, out of interest, I'll try to contact him - however I must remember not to mention the word 'forum' mustn't I ?

        Cheers

He's allegedly coming to our next N&N. Funny the effect of winning a major classic car show can have

Julian. As others have confirmed, it was indeed Steve. He was on his way to a wedding in Cornwall at the weekend, and was making a few stop-offs on the way. Haynes Sparkford museum, and the beam engines at Crofton on the K & A canal were also visited, according to a text from him this afternoon. And there was I thinking he was in that nasty Porsche of his!
Don't tell anyone I told you.

                  Thanks Mike,

That all makes sense of it. Where I saw him was about 20 miles from Haynes at Sparkford (I wonder if he spotted ALL of the discrepancies on the Russet Brown Stag they have there !) It was also only a few hundred yards from 'Clarks village' which is a big designer/retail outlet centre - is Mrs Keifer a keen shopper ?

Such a pity that I only noticed the car at the last second - I can hardly really claim to have properly seen the first Stag. However, I don't think he saw me either so we appear to be as unobservant as each other - in my defence, it was a busy junction and area.

I'm off to a show now and then France, in the Stag, but I'll contact Steve on my return.

Thanks again to everyone for solving a mystery for me and, most importantly, proving that I'm not going completely barmy

                  Cheers

                  Julian
