Thanks for the info - we are now looking to take the train all the way from Chelmsford to Liverpool street, then take a taxi to Waterloo to catch the Southampton train, and I understand it is not far from Southampton Station to the Docks where our cruise liner will be berthed.

Noticed you live in Colchester Stagnant - quite often pay a visit to the Zoo there with a couple of the grandkids when staying at my daughter's house in Chelmsford.

The reason we have not considered the coach is it takes a long time and the misses doesn't travel well on coaches.

Its nearer 30 miles, and I suppose it might be pushing it a bit, but at the worst, if Mr Plod didnt get his oats that day you might get a £60 penalty notice. Cheaper than transport.

I think you will find that fines are now £100.00 and £60.00 fines are a thing of the past, I also own a recovery truck and would of wanted £100.00 to do that job Robsport as a guide
