1970's radio MEMORY JOGGING

Hi
Going to fit a retro Audioline Cassette player ,I know that black is earth ,blue is power ,but each side speaker has only one wire ,white left positive ,and red right positive ,

I seem to remember these old sets had a "common" wire so I'm thinking of connecting the two negative terminals together .BUT not before asking you chaps and ladies for your wisdom

Alex. I'm sure your memory is correct, but I never understood how they worked properly that way. I'm sure it will be a negative earth player. I suspect positive earths disappeared before the invention of the cassette!

It worked ,now just got to work out how to wire in the back speakers?

Alex. I have always just lifted the bottom edge of the carpet covering the inner sills and tucked them in, and run them back in to the hood well. Assuming you are going to fit them somewhere in the rear cubby panels. Perhaps a bit crude, but they will be out of sight!

Thanks Mike it's the wiring I'm pondering about as well as where to put them ,I saw a few stags at trenchant gardens last weekend and most had speakers in the rear and they all looked ok
